He graduated on a modular living concept where the furniture also forms the construction of the house. The integration of technology and aesthetics found in this project is characteristic of the work of Ward Huting.
“A design and, in particular, the process of arriving at the design remains a quest for essence and simplicity in which the production method and materialization are just as important as the final result.”
Ward combines his own professional practice with a part-time position as a 3D designer at Zwartwoud, where custom furniture is being worked on.

Gerard is a product, furniture, and architectural designer. His work consists of a constant search for innovation and resourcefulness in the field of functional products. His ambition is to make unique designs that carry the elements simplicity, surprise and versatility in them. Simplicity is mainly brought about by the use of basic geometric shapes. He always explores the boundaries of what is possible, and he is always looking for a certain tension. This element of surprise, that special effect is what he is aiming for.
A number of his furniture designs have been incorporated in the collections of international design labels.
