Folly Noorderzon

2006

Designed for the Noorderzon Festival in Groningen, this contemporary folly responds to the English landscape tradition of the Noorderplantsoen. With no fixed function, it invites visitors to sit, climb and explore, giving space to their imagination.

Commissioned by Centrum Beeldende Kunst Groningen, now Kunstpunt Groningen.

Dimensions: W 4 × D 5 × H 4.8 m

After the festival, the folly was relocated to Elsweg in Noordwolde, Friesland, as a landmark for a housing development.
